Rivers Run Through Us

About
Rivers Run Through Us (RRTU) takes a holistic, collaborative approach to recapturing the natural heritage of the River Axe, its tributaries and valleys, through better connections – between people and heritage, farmers and consumers, rural and townsfolk, soil and water.
The Rivers Run Through Us project focuses on three themes: river, soil, and people. It highlights how river catchments are shaped by water and soil, the farming that depends on them, and the people who rely on what they produce. The project nurtures community action to monitor river health, protect soils and habitats, and reaches out to empower everyone to find their own connection with the river and its heritage.
The project has been funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, (made possible by National Lottery Players) and the Environment Agency’s Water Environment Improvement Fund.
