River restoration

About
Funding from the Water Environment Investment Fund (WEIF) and Defra’s Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme is supporting river restoration along the River Yarty. This investment is enabling practical measures such as reconnecting floodplains, stabilising riverbanks, and improving habitats. By combining resources and expertise, the project is helping to restore natural river processes and strengthen the landscape’s resilience, delivering long-term benefits for wildlife and the wider environment.
