Axe Rivers Festival

The Axe Rivers Festival is a week‑long celebration of the landscapes, wildlife and communities shaped by the River Axe and its tributaries. Through immersive storytelling, guided walks, creative experiences and hands‑on activities, the Festival invites people of all ages and backgrounds to connect more deeply with the living world on their doorstep.
From intimate audio journeys and film screenings to family-friendly wetland adventures, night walks and opportunities to explore the science and history of river restoration, each event opens a window onto a different part of the river’s story. Together they highlight not only the beauty and character of the Axe, but also the shared responsibility we have in caring for it.
Above all, the Axe Rivers Festival is an invitation to learn, to wonder, to celebrate, and to take part in a healthier future for our rivers.
