The River at Rest – A Nocturnal Nature Walk

22 April @ 7:30 PM9:30 PM
Free

A calm night walk exploring the river’s sounds, shadows and wildlife, offering a peaceful way to experience the Axe after dark.

Join us for an evening walk, experiencing the River Axe as the sun sets. This guided night time walk offers a time to experience the Axe at it’s most peaceful hours and discover what wildlife and sounds emerge when the sun goes down. We will take time to listen to the quiet sounds of the river, notice the shift in wildlife activity. With torches, we may glimpse fish moving silently through the shallows or catch flashes of other nocturnal creatures beginning their routes along the water’s edge.

Ben Morgan-Brown, Nature Reserves Ranger, for East Devon, will join us as our guide for the evening.

Bring/wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather and night time. Please also bring a torch.
