SUMMARY:The River at Rest – A Nocturnal Nature Walk
DESCRIPTION:A calm night walk exploring the river’s sounds\, shadows and wildlife\, offering a peaceful way to experience the Axe after dark. \n  \nJoin us for an evening walk\, experiencing the River Axe as the sun sets. This guided night time walk offers a time to experience the Axe at it’s most peaceful hours and discover what wildlife and sounds emerge when the sun goes down. We will take time to listen to the quiet sounds of the river\, notice the shift in wildlife activity. With torches\, we may glimpse fish moving silently through the shallows or catch flashes of other nocturnal creatures beginning their routes along the water’s edge. \nBen Morgan-Brown\, Nature Reserves Ranger\, for East Devon\, will join us as our guide for the evening. \nBring/wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather and night time. SUMMARY:Ripples to Reeds- A Family Wetland Adventure
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday 25th April for a day at Seaton Wetlands dedicated to celebrating the Axe Rivers. There will be so much fun to be had; water vole face painting\, stream dipping and even sand martin creation where you will help them migrate back from sub-Saharan Africa! Visit the local stream to see the array of insects found in the bed. We’ll also be hosting local conservation bodies who will show us their passion for protecting our natural world\, and refreshments will be available for a small donation. \nThere’s no better place for spotting wildlife than Seaton Wetlands on the Axe.
